Why we still work with 12 seasons.
Today you'll find color analysis systems with 16, 18, 23 or even more seasons and palettes. So the question we hear is fair: if more seasons exist, why does Drops de Cor still work with 12?
Because we don't believe that more categories necessarily mean more precision.
Expanded systems often introduce what are called gap seasons — categories created for combinations like Bright Autumn, Soft Winter, Deep Spring or Intense Summer. We understand the reasoning behind them. But looking closely at the 12-season system, those characteristics don't disappear just because they don't carry their own name. They already exist within the spectrum of each sub-season.
And there is a principle behind the methodology: color dimensions do not work independently. A person can be extremely muted and still have a value — lighter, medium or deeper — and she will still have a temperature: even a neutral coloring always leans cooler or warmer. Being muted doesn't eliminate temperature. Being deep doesn't eliminate intensity. Being bright doesn't eliminate depth. All of these dimensions coexist, and it is their combination that creates someone's individual color harmony.
Take Autumn as an example — the movement is already inside the season
A "Bright Autumn" doesn't need a season of its own — it lives at the deep, saturated end of a spectrum that already exists. Naming it separately adds a label, not accuracy.
Where the method goes one step further: intermediate levels
We don't simply evaluate someone as Light or Deep. We read the intermediate levels inside every dimension — which is how a client is described precisely without inventing a new season for her.

Who can attend?
Anyone ready to offer color analysis — no previous experience or certification required. Advanced professionals are welcome and get a structured system to replace intuition.
What time does the day start and end — and do I need to bring a model?
The class runs from 9:00 to 19:00, with a one-hour lunch break at noon. It's a full day on purpose: theory in the morning, and enough afternoon hours for everyone to drape with feedback.
You don't need to bring a model. Everything is arranged — you'll watch a full live draping demonstration, then practice in guided rounds with your classmates, which means you also get to see the method applied to several different colorings in one day.
How many students are in each class, and where is it held?
A maximum of 14 students per class. That cap is the reason the day works: everyone drapes, everyone is corrected, and nobody watches from the back of the room.
Each class is held in a central, easy-to-reach venue in the host city. The full address and arrival details are sent by email ahead of the class.
What language is the class taught in?
All classes — in the United States, Canada and Europe — are taught in English. It's also the vocabulary the method itself is built in, so the terms you learn are the same ones used by Drops de Cor consultants on three continents.
Are draping tools included?
No. Attendees receive exclusive student pricing on the professional sets, and can choose the Certification + Professional Kit bundle with a pre-order discount for their event.
What makes the Drops de Cor Method different?
Unlike basic or outdated color systems, the 12-Season Expanded Method is clear, practical and rooted in modern color science. You learn to analyze value, then chroma, then temperature, step by step, then connect the result to style essence and personality for a complete, trustworthy client experience.
Will I get hands-on practice?
Yes — it's the biggest advantage of training in person. You watch a live draping demonstration on a real client, then drape yourself, step by step, with guidance from Sissa. Case studies sharpen your eye before you practice on people.
Is lunch provided?
Lunch is not included, but there's a one-hour break to enjoy local options nearby.
Will I get a certificate — and the badge?
Yes to both, at Level 1. You receive your Level 1 Drops de Cor Certificate and the Certified Color Analyst badge on the day you complete the training, and you can start using them right away.
From Level 2 onward it works differently: the advanced badges are not granted for attending. You take the training, then go through an approval process where your real client analyses are reviewed against the method's criteria — and the seal is granted once your work meets the standard.
Will I be ready to work with clients right away?
Yes. After the one-day training you have a tested method, the right tools and real practice. After a couple of practice clients, many students start working — and the pathway keeps you supported as you grow.
Do I get ongoing support after the course?
Yes. You join a WhatsApp group for your class with constant support from our Student Relations Manager, plus an alumni network to ask questions, get feedback and celebrate your growth.
What if I need to cancel?
Course fees for in-person classes are non-refundable. If you can't attend, you may transfer your spot to another participant or request a one-time credit toward a future course of equal value, subject to availability. Notify us at least 48 hours before the course date.
