Why consultants feel unsure

Most colour training asks you to trust your eye. Ours gives you a protocol.

What keeps results inconsistent

  • Diagnosis rests on "a good eye" that nobody can teach
  • Natural personal contrast is never measured
  • Neutral undertones get read as a coin toss
  • No dominant dimension, so every client is a fresh guess
  • Nothing to fall back on when a client disagrees

What you leave Austin with

  • A fixed sequence: value, then chroma, then temperature
  • Personal contrast assessed, not estimated
  • A repeatable draping protocol you can narrate out loud
  • The 12-season expanded framework, gap seasons included
  • Language to explain the result so the client believes it
Your day in Austin

Nine in the morning to seven at night. Every hour earns its place.

No models to bring — you drape each other, with Sissa correcting in the room. Lunch is a one-hour break at noon; it isn't included so you can eat what you like nearby.

Morning · Block 1

Colour dimensions & the 12-season method

Value, chroma, temperature and depth — what each one actually measures, and why they never behave independently of each other.

Morning · Block 2

Personality, emotion and style

Colour psychology and the seven style archetypes, so your analysis becomes an image strategy the client can live with.

12:00 · One hour

Lunch break

Not included. A good moment to compare notes with the rest of the room.

Afternoon · Block 3

Eye development on real cases

Group case studies on real faces, training your eye on the subtleties before you pick up a drape.

Afternoon · Block 4

The draping protocol, live

Full demonstrations from Sissa, then guided practice on each other with correction as you go.

Evening · Wrap-up

Q&A, pathway and certificate

Open questions, how the certification pathway works from here, and your Level 1 certificate.

Where we meet

Central Austin

We choose a central venue in every city — somewhere you can reach easily by car or transit, with hotels within walking distance. In Austin that means downtown, close to Lady Bird Lake and simple to reach from the airport, whether you're travelling in from San Antonio, Houston or Dallas.

The exact address goes out by email a week before the class.

The day after · Level 2

You're already in Austin. Stay one more morning.

Level 2 runs 9am to 1pm the morning after your certification. It begins before you arrive, with an assessment exercise we go through with you in the room — then four hours of live testing on models we bring in, one for each student. You are finished by lunch and can still fly home that afternoon.

  • Pre-class assessment exercise, reviewed with you in person
  • Pattern analysis — scale, contrast and print harmony
  • Hair colour and beauty recommendations drawn from the diagnosis
  • A model each — you drape your own client, not a classmate
  • Bronze badge — Professional Consultant, awarded on approval

Who sits in this room

No previous certification required. Advanced professionals welcome.

Roughly half of every class is already working with clients and wants a system they can defend. The other half is starting out and would rather start properly.

Where this leads

One day is Level 1 of three.

Each level builds on the one before it. The badge itself comes with approval — you can attend every level, but the certification stamp is awarded, not bought.

You are here Level 1

Professional foundations

The structured diagnostic system — value, chroma, temperature, depth and personal contrast — and the draping protocol that ties them together.

Level 2

Advanced mastery

A four-hour morning: patterns, hair and beauty, worked on a model we provide. Four students, and the Bronze badge once your work is approved. Or the online one-to-one mentoring route if you can't travel.

Level 3 · from January 2027

Specialisation

Subject-focused classes, beginning in New York. Take one, or work through all three.

Who teaches it

Trained by the person who built the method.

Sissa Germann has taught image professionals across the United States, Brazil and Europe, refining a seasonal system built for real consultations rather than textbook faces — a broad range of skin tones, undertones and contrast levels.

She teaches every in-person class herself. When you correct a drape wrong, it is Sissa who tells you why.

From past classes

What certified consultants say.

"

Before this training I relied mostly on intuition. The method gave me a diagnostic process I can apply with every client — my consultations are consistent now.

AvaImage consultant, Miami
"

I focused mainly on seasonal trends before. Learning to analyse undertone and contrast with precision changed how I price my work.

Ken K.Salon colour specialist, São Paulo
"

I wasn't sure starting something new after retirement was realistic. I left prepared rather than overwhelmed, and excited to build my own practice.

HelenRetired nurse, Los Angeles
"

The most technical and precise colour training I have taken. The dominant dimension framework completely changed how I analyse clients.

Before you book

Questions we get every tour.

Do I need to bring a model?

No. You drape each other through the practical blocks, which means you also get analysed yourself. Nothing to arrange in advance.

What time does the day start and finish?

9am to 7pm, with a one-hour lunch break at noon. Lunch isn't included so you can choose something nearby.

Which language is the class taught in?

All in-person classes in the United States are taught entirely in English.

How many students are in the room?

Fourteen at most. That cap exists so everyone gets draping time and individual correction — it is the reason cities sell out.

Do I need my own tools?

Not for the class — everything is provided on the day. Most students order a professional set so they can start working immediately afterwards, and there's a bundle discount when you book the set with your course.

Am I certified at the end of the day?

You receive your Level 1 certificate on the day. The Drops de Cor certification badge — the one you display professionally — comes through an approval process; you can attend every level, but the stamp is awarded on assessment.

Is there anything after Level 1?

Yes. Level 2 runs 9am to 1pm the following morning in the same city, capped at four students. There is an assessment exercise to complete beforehand, and we bring in models so each student drapes a client of their own. It leads to the Bronze badge, Professional Consultant — awarded on approval of your work, not automatically on the day. If you can't travel for it, the online one-to-one mentoring route covers the same ground.

What if the class sells out?

Write to us and we'll tell you the next city and date before it's announced publicly. Cities that sell out don't reopen until the next tour.
