“How do I bring light to my face?”

“What should I do about my grays?”

The question in the chair

A good hair answer starts with the face.

Whether she is in a consultation or in a salon chair, the client wants to know what will look good on her. The right answer depends on her, not only on her season.

Hair Match gives you a method to answer these questions for the person in front of you, and the words to explain the answer.

Color consultants

You know the seasons. Now read the hair.

You bring
Drops de Cor Level 1 and a trained eye for skin, eyes and contrast.
You add
A hair analysis of your own, and a direction your client can take to her hairstylist.
Your badge
Bronze if you have Level 1; Silver if you have Levels 1 and 2. Issued on delivery of your validation project.
Hairstylists

You know the technique. Now connect it to the face.

Before this course
Take the Drops de Cor Professional Color Analysis Training (12-Season Method, Level 1). It gives you the color analysis that Hair Match builds on. See Level 1 dates
You bring
Hands-on experience with color: highlights, balayage, root work, gloss.
You add
A way to connect the hair to skin, eyes and natural coloring, before you choose the technique.
Your badge
Bronze with Level 1, Silver if you have also completed Level 2. Issued on delivery of your validation project.
In the salon
A clear way to explain to your client why this depth, this warmth and this placement suit her.
What you'll leave with

See. Analyze. Translate.

Three skills, built in one day, in the same order a good consultation follows.

SEE

Look at hair the way a colorist does, and notice what it is doing to the face.

ANALYZE

Read the individual client with the 21 Hair Match swatches, in the method's own sequence.

TRANSLATE

Turn the result into a clear hair direction the client and the hairstylist can both follow.

The season is a reference. The individual analysis guides the decision.

What you'll learn with the Pro Hair Color Guide™

Look again. What changed?

Two clients, two versions each. Every pair hides a single decision that changes how the hair reads on the face.

AHighlights away from the hairline
The same client with the same caramel highlights starting right at the hairline, framing her face
BSame highlights, at the hairline
Same highlights

Same color. A different face.

The shade and the technique are identical. One thing moved.

ASolid deep brunette
The same client with a medium-contrast balayage, deep brunette at the root and around the face, softer brown through the lengths
BMedium-contrast balayage
Contrast

Which one has more impact on the face?

It isn't always the one with more contrast in the hair.

The answers, and why they matter for each client, are the first hour of the course.

The day

One day. Mostly hands-on.

A class of no more than 10 students. A full demonstration, then practice in small groups where everyone analyzes, is analyzed and observes. The day ends with an individual practical assessment.

You leave with your own color analysis and hair color direction.

Your instructor

Sissa Germann teaches the course.

Founder of Drops de Cor. Sissa rebuilt the 12-season method: she made it multicultural, so it reads every skin tone honestly, gave it a fashion designer's eye, and carried it past clothing into hair, makeup and mood.

Hair Match is that work applied to hair. Sissa teaches it in person, the same way she teaches every Drops de Cor certification.

Your badge

Earned with a validation project.

After the course you deliver a validation project. Once it is approved, you receive your badge. The badge depends on what you completed before Hair Match.

Who is this course for?

Two groups learn side by side.

  • Color consultants who want to take their analysis into hair.
  • Hairstylists who already work with color technique and want to connect it to the client's skin, eyes and natural coloring.

Both need to have completed the Drops de Cor Professional Color Analysis Training, 12-Season Method, Level 1.

I'm a hairstylist. What will I learn that I don't know already?

Not the technique: you have that. You learn to read the client first and decide the direction in harmony with her face, before choosing how to get there.

Hairstylists take the Drops de Cor Professional Color Analysis Training, 12-Season Method, Level 1 first. Hair Match builds on it.

I'm a consultant. Will I have to color hair?

No. You won't be asked to color hair. You learn to analyze and describe the direction, and to talk it through with a hairstylist.

Will I learn coloring formulas?

No. The course is about the visual direction. The formula, the products and the application belong to the hairstylist's own training.

Does the course cover gray hair?

Yes.

Is there hands-on practice?

Yes, most of the day, in small groups, ending with an individual practical assessment.

Will I get my own analysis?

Yes. Every participant receives their own color analysis and hair color direction during the course.

How much is the course?

$1,599, and that includes your Hair Match Set. Classes are capped at 10 students.

Is the Hair Match Set part of the course?

Yes. Every student receives their own Hair Match Set, included in the $1,599 price and shipped when you enroll. Shipping within the U.S. is free. It contains 21 human hair swatches (14 inches), the manual, 12 Seasonal Hair Direction Cards, the Pro Hair Color Guide™ in digital edition and the Hair Match Assessment Sheet.

Are color analysis drapes included?

No. The course includes the Hair Match Set only. Color analysis drapes are not included.

If you need them, the full color analysis sets and the drapes are sold separately in our shop.

When and where is it?

In New York, from January 2027. The class runs from 10am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break. Lunch is not included. Enrollment opens in December 2026, and the exact date and venue will be published then.

Which badge will I earn?

It depends on what you have completed before this course:

  • Level 1 completed: Bronze, Professional Color Analyst.
  • Level 1 and Level 2 completed: Silver, Expert Color Analyst.

Everyone completes an individual practical assessment on the day. The badge is issued when your validation project is approved, not for attendance alone.

Why isn't Level 2 required?

Hair Match builds on what you learn in Level 1: reading a client's depth, temperature, intensity and contrast, and knowing the 12 seasons. That is the foundation this course needs.

Level 2, the Advanced Practice Workshop or the Developing Your Eye mentorship, deepens your draping practice with real clients. It makes you a stronger analyst, but it isn't what Hair Match is built on. Hair Match has its own hands-on practice, its own tools and its own validation project.

That is why the badge reflects your path: with Level 1 you earn Bronze, and if you have also completed Level 2 you earn Silver.

Does joining the list reserve a seat?

No. It's a list for news about the launch and enrollment. It isn't a registration, a reservation or a special offer.
