Do I need a certification to use the set?

No, but the set is built around the Drops de Cor method, and the certification course teaches every step with these same tools. See the course dates.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Every tool in the larger sets is also sold separately, so you can add what you need as your practice grows.
